Caregiver Consultations
Our goal is to do caregiver consultations child-free. This is to allow caregivers to speak openly in a judgement free space. I know that this can be hard to facilitate as many families struggle to find child free time, so we will work together to try and facilitate this - possibly through evening appointments or splitting the consult into shorter portions.

01
Are we a good fit?
Caregiver consultations give caregivers a chance to meet me prior to introducing me to their child. This allows caregivers to make an informed choice about if I am a good fit for their family.
02
Gather Background Info
The initial caregiver consultation provides an opportunity for me to gather information about the child and the family's history - which will help me form a plan for working with both the family and the child. Subsequent caregiver consultations offer you and opportunity to update me on any changes to the family or their situation.

03
Set Goals
During all caregiver consultations we will check in on or set new goals for working together. This helps us to ensure that therapy is progressing well and that we are meeting our targets/understanding why targets may not have been met.
04
Coaching/Education
Most caregiver consultations also include an element of coaching/education. This is useful information or strategies that can be implemented by caregivers straight away to support the child in different environments.
